Kids plan to join us this summer in Downtown Walnut at Liberty Square! If you are going into grades K-5, plan to enjoy all 6 weeks of hands-on activities. Come hang out on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to Noon on June 15, 22, 29 as well as July 13, 20, 27. We will play games, make crafts, and enjoy music, snacks, and storytime.
Join us this year in continuing the tradition of the Live Nativity at WCBC. Plan to drive through the displays on Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings between 6 to 8 p.m. December 18th, 19th, and 20th.
Please note the following changes this year: To preserve the cherished and authentic atmosphere of the nativity, we will be asking people to NOT wear a mask while they are outdoors portraying a character. To facilitate a safe environment, we are requesting people to sign up in households groups for the angels as well as the Mary & Joseph characters. Wisemen & shepherds can safely distance outdoors without masking.
Volunteers are needed to play parts, kitchen help and help with costume changes. Sign-up sheets for live characters are located on the Communications Table. Or feel free to call and we can find a spot to add you and/or your family to the list. Call Eldon @815-878-5738 or Nathan @815-719-3058.
Mark your calendars for Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th. It will be garage sales across Walnut and here at the church.
WCBC will be hosting a garage sale and bake sale.
We are using the rummage sale to raise funds for Mission Indy and beyond.
While you are spring cleaning, help us by setting aside your aside your unwanted items to bring to the church the week before the sale. To help us out clothes can be folded or ready to hang up. Don’t worry, we will mark the items for sale!
Also if you can help Karen out with bake goods for the bake sale that day, please let her know!
Walnut Community Bible Church is hosting a Bake Sale and Auction to raise funds for the Mexico Mission trip in January. Come out and support the team heading down. Date is Sunday, December 9th during the Sunday Morning Service. All are welcome!
Join us for an Open House style Welcome Back party for the Eipperles. The Eipperle’s are big Star Wars Fans so this is set for May the Force Be with You day (May 4th, 2016) and will have a Star Wars theme. Stop by WCBC between 5-7 pm on May the 4th!
If you are interested in helping with the party, please contact Sarah Gesiakowski. I would love people to sign up to bring a dish, help decorate, help host the party so it runs smoothly.
Join us at the Walnut Community Building for Saturday Lunch. We invite the whole town out for a Hog Roast. Proceeds from the event will support a missions trip to Haiti in Mid January.

Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Join us on Sunday, January 4th, 2015 from 11-2 pm at the Walnut Community Building in Walnut, IL. This Hog Roast for Haiti event is being hosted by the WCBC Missions Team. They are raising funds for their mission trip to Sonlight Academy in Haiti.
Events will include the Pork Dinner, Bake Sale and a Silent Auction. Silent Auction winners will be announced at 2 p.m.
Free-Will Donations will be accepted.
The Romania Missions Team will be hosting a garage sale during Walnut’s Town wide sales. Sale Dates are May 9th & 10th. The team would love any donated items including: gently used household items, children’s clothing, games,etc.
Or if you enjoy baking, consider donating bake goods for the team on those days.
Funds raised from the sale will sponsor the Romania Missions Trip to serve the children of Romania this summer with a week long camp, where at risk children will learn about and experience God’s love.
Start planning now. Donations can be brought to the Walnut Community Building after 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 8th or on Friday Morning, May 9th.
