Walnut Community Church is a welcoming community of people. On Sunday mornings you would find greeters at the doors handing out bulletins and song sheets. You are welcome to come in the doors from either side of the parking lot. Feel free to sign the guest book. Sunday morning service begins at 9:00 a.m.
Sunday Services include contemporary worship music. The words to the music are projected on the front screen and are also printed in the song sheet that is handed out at the door. Each week we have different Scripture Readers whose choose a passage from the Bible to read and then lead us in opening prayer.
Elders receive prayer request throughout the week and on Sunday Mornings. These prayer requests are prayed over during the Sunday Service by the Elders.
Announcements about upcoming events are shared during the morning service. Kids up to 8 years old have the opportunity to attend children’s church most Sundays of the month. Nursery is also an option during the morning service. However, we still welcome children for the service if parents desire.
The sermons at WCBC take you into the Bible and show you how God’s word applies to our lives today. After the message we often sing a few more songs before the end of the service. After the Sunday service, we invite you to stay around grab some coffee and a snack back in the kitchen area.
Breakout classes are much like Sunday school classes but the come after the main worship service. Breakout classes are available for 18 months and up as well as for adults. Information on adult classes is listed in the bulletin.
