VBS 2022: Zoomerang

Are you in PreK to 5th grade? Join us for Zoomerang VBS! Children will discover the unforgettable wildlife, culture, and beauty of Australia while exploring the wonder and value of life, from the lives of preborn babies to eternal life in the kingdom of God.

Experience the jaw-dropping beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, the arid temperature of outback afternoons, the architectural marvels of Australia’s modern cities, and the fascinating eucalyptus forest, home of the koalas.

Adventure awaits for your Kindergarten through 5th Grade Student. This year we will have 5 full nights of VBS from Sunday, July 17th to Thursday, July 21st running from 5:30 to 8:00 pm each evening.

PreK children will be upstairs with their own preschool adapted activities and crafts. We do ask that PreK children be potty trained.

JH Lock-in 2022

Friday, March 25th @ 9:00 pm through Saturday, March 26th @ 7:00 am
Maximize your fun by inviting your friends!
Register early to order your neon shirt for Lock-in 2022

Junior Highers: Bring your friends to enjoy games, snacks, speakers and a whole new obstacle course. Various activities throughout the night will keep you engaged and laughing. You won’t believe how fast the night flies while you’re having fun. In the morning only one team will be victorious but all will have had a blast.

Parents: Kids won’t need pillows or jammies. This is an all night event that keeps kids busy on a tight schedule of Big Games, Theater, Short Devotionals, Snacks, and more. We will have snack breaks throughout the night as well as a dinner just after midnight. Morning will end with one more run through the obstacle course and a pancake breakfast. Pick-up is at 7 a.m.

Christmas Caroling

Please send in your recommended caroling stops this week so we can get a route all planned out ahead of time. Contact the church office at 815-379-2645 or wcbc@mchsi.com and leave a message for who we should visit. You can also respond to the Facebook post regarding Christmas Caroling.

Christmas carolers should meet at Liberty Square at 5 p.m. this coming Saturday, December 11th. We will travel throughout Walnut caroling from 5 to 6 p.m. After caroling 5 singers have been invited into the nursing home. Please contact Robin Jameson if you would like to be one of the 5 to carol at the nursing home.

After caroling more fun is to come back at WCBC. Come join us for a hot bowl of soup and more singing fun. Feel free to bring a Christmas treat or snack to share.
