Live Nativity 2020
Join us this year in continuing the tradition of the Live Nativity at WCBC. Plan to drive through the displays on Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings between 6 to 8 p.m. December 18th, 19th, and 20th.
Please note the following changes this year: To preserve the cherished and authentic atmosphere of the nativity, we will be asking people to NOT wear a mask while they are outdoors portraying a character. To facilitate a safe environment, we are requesting people to sign up in households groups for the angels as well as the Mary & Joseph characters. Wisemen & shepherds can safely distance outdoors without masking.
Volunteers are needed to play parts, kitchen help and help with costume changes. Sign-up sheets for live characters are located on the Communications Table. Or feel free to call and we can find a spot to add you and/or your family to the list. Call Eldon @815-878-5738 or Nathan @815-719-3058.

Mandy Young is a self-proclaimed southern, social butterfly who loves her family, friends, sweet tea, the color pink and most of all, the Lord. Her greatest joy is traveling the country sharing the story of her life or that of the challenges of Body Image. Whether she is speaking before thousands or to an intimate group of 25, her exuberance for Jesus never changes.
Kerri has been performing in churches, retreats, outreach events for over 12 years to sell out crowds. She’s known as Hollywood’s Favorite God Girl and isn’t afraid to stand up for her faith. She’s one of the top Christians working in comedy today and hits audiences of all ages with her humor from dating to motherhood and everything in between.
Tickets available tonight at the door for $15. Doors will open at 5 p.m. tonight for open seating. Show will begin at 6 p.m. Event will include a silent auction as well as concessions for food.
Location of Event is Walnut Community Bible Church at 125 Jackson St, Walnut, IL. This is in Northern Bureau County a local venue to Sterling-Rock Falls, Dixon, Princeton, Ohio, Manilus, Amboy and just an hour away for the Quad cities and Peoria.
AFLBS Women’s Ensemble
WCBC will be hosting the Association Free Lutheran Bible School Women’s Ensemble on Sunday, March 26 @ 12:45 p.m.
This group of young women will turn your hearts in worship to God through music and testimony. Rebecca Jameson one of our churches own college students is a part of this ministry team. Everyone is welcome. Please invite your friends.

Small Groups: gods at war
Join a 6-week, small-group study using the “gods at war” series by Kyle Idleman.
Your heart is a battlefield. This bible study “gods at war” will help believers recognize there are false gods at war within each of us, battling for the place of glory and control in our lives.

Financial Peace Class Starting Soon
We would love to have you join the Financial Peace University Flex Class at WCBC. Class Starts on January 8, 2017 at 10:45 a.m.
In this nine-week class, you’ll learn Dave Ramsey’s seven easy-to-follow Baby Steps to create a budget, get out of debt, and make a plan for your money!
The Gatherings
Everyone is welcome to join us at WCBC on Tuesday Nights this summer for a family style meal at 6 pm. followed by a devotional study and prayer. Come for all or even part of the meeting and feel free to invite your friends. Join us this Tuesday.

WCBC Dates to remember for the upcoming Summer. Summer can be a busy time around Walnut and that is true at WCBC too. From Softball games to VBS the months of June and July are often hopping with opportunities. Take time to mark your calendars and make a plan for your summer before it gets away from you.
June 6th to July 5th: 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World — Join your church family as well as believers around the globe as we focus on praying for the Muslim world during the Muslim month of Ramadan.
June 15th to June 26th: Romania Mission Trip — A handful of people from WCBC are headed back to Romania to bring VBS to camp week for orphan children. Please pray as they prepare to go, for traveling, and that they would clearly show these children God’s love for them!
June 19th through July 10th: Another Child Foundation Shoe Drive — We will be collecting NEW shoes and socks for children in Romania. Socks and shoes needed that will fit children up to age 14.
July 3rd at 11:00 AM: Join the Walnut community during Walnut Days for the annual Community Church Service held on Sunday, July 3rd behind Bureau Valley North Elementary School.
July 5th – 8th: Deep Sea Discovery VBS — Kids plan to join us this summer for a deep sea adventure where we will learn: God knows me, God hears me, God strengthens me, and God loves me. VBS will meet Tuesday-Friday this year with a final family day at Walnut Pool.
July 31st: Promotion Sunday — Sunday School Breakout classes will host a celebration for the children as the are promoted into the next grade. This will be the last day of summer breakouts before we take a break for the month of August.
Trivia Night 2016
You are Invited to the Romania Mission Trip’s Trivia Night on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 at Walnut Community Bible Church.
Gather a team of 10, all ages encouraged! Cost is $10 per person.
Trivia Begins at 7 p.m. but come early because doors will open at 6 p.m. Food Concessions will be sold and Silent Auction Items will be available for bidding.
