WCBC Dates to remember for the upcoming Summer. Summer can be a busy time around Walnut and that is true at WCBC too. From Softball games to VBS the months of June and July are often hopping with opportunities. Take time to mark your calendars and make a plan for your summer before it gets away from you.
June 6th to July 5th: 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World — Join your church family as well as believers around the globe as we focus on praying for the Muslim world during the Muslim month of Ramadan.
June 15th to June 26th: Romania Mission Trip — A handful of people from WCBC are headed back to Romania to bring VBS to camp week for orphan children. Please pray as they prepare to go, for traveling, and that they would clearly show these children God’s love for them!
June 19th through July 10th: Another Child Foundation Shoe Drive — We will be collecting NEW shoes and socks for children in Romania. Socks and shoes needed that will fit children up to age 14.
July 3rd at 11:00 AM: Join the Walnut community during Walnut Days for the annual Community Church Service held on Sunday, July 3rd behind Bureau Valley North Elementary School.
July 5th – 8th: Deep Sea Discovery VBS — Kids plan to join us this summer for a deep sea adventure where we will learn: God knows me, God hears me, God strengthens me, and God loves me. VBS will meet Tuesday-Friday this year with a final family day at Walnut Pool.
July 31st: Promotion Sunday — Sunday School Breakout classes will host a celebration for the children as the are promoted into the next grade. This will be the last day of summer breakouts before we take a break for the month of August.
