We hope that our church body will continue in breakout style discussion over the phone and in other creative ways as well. - Based on the examples of the trumpet calls described in the Old Testament today, what do you think is the primary purpose of the trumpet call when Jesus returns? Do you think it has different connotations for different groups?
- In the Jewish community, the feast of trumpets is a time of repentance focused around the example of the submissive attitude of Isaac in Genesis 22. As you re-read that story, in what ways can our eyes be opened to see Jesus? How does it relate to what Eldon has preached today?
- Can you remember a specific time in your journey of faith that God opened your eyes to a particular truth in His Word? Can you share an example?
