CHILDREN & FAMILY MINISTRIES
In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
At WCBC, children are welcome in the Sunday services but may also may choose to attend children’s church or nursery. Sunday school classes are offered each Sunday after the morning service. Other events for children and families include Kool Kids, Vacation Bible School, and the Live Nativity.
Children’s Church
Ages 3 to 8 years old are invited to children’s church which includes a lesson and a craft. Children are dismissed from the sanctuary before the sermon. Children’s Church meets on Sundays but not on the first Sunday of the month. Check the bulletin for availability each Sunday.
Nursery
While children are welcome in the services, the younger set may choose to hang out in the nursery. Plenty of toys to play with and kind caregivers to ensure that their time is enjoyable during the Sunday service.

Breakout Classes
Ages 18 months old to 5th graders are able to participate in Sunday school classes after the morning service from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. Separate Junior High and High School classes are available for the youth. Breakout classes do not meet during the month of August.

Kool Kids
Students grades K-5 meet at WCBC each Wednesday for a fantastic children’s program that merges both faith and fun. Meetings are held from 3:15-5:00 pm on full-length school days. When Wednesday is a half day at Bureau Valley, Kool Kids leaders will be in The Rock at WCBC to oversee some games, homework, and faith based activities. Volunteer help is always welcomed. Contact Brett Kepner, or check out the facebook page, for details on volunteering.

Vacation Bible School
Kids have fun each summer at Vacation Bible School. The dates vary each year and are usually determined by the end of May. VBS is generally held in the evening hours. The last couple of years children have enjoyed the Bible story time, crafts, and game time.

Live Nativity
Come Christmas, be sure to drive the family through the Live Nativity often held the weekend before Christmas day. Make it a family tradition and enjoy the cocoa and cookies you receive at the end.
