What things are excellent? virtuous, godly, and moral excellence? As we answer this question we realize that none of our goodness comes from ourselves but only through Christ working through us to accomplish his purposes. Doing the right thing according to God’s word is not about us or our looking good. Our lives should glorify God and should turn all praise to God.
