Adult Ministries

Adult ministries provide opportunities for you to connect with others in a friendly atmosphere. Come encourage your spirit while encouraging others through these activities. Please check the calendar for the most current dates and times.

	Breakout Sessions – You are welcome to visit a Breakout Session any Sunday morning. New classes generally follow a school semester approach and include a summer session. These classes vary in topics to encourage, teach, and benefit Christ followers. Past topics have included Specific Books of the Bible, Parenting and Bible Study Tools.
	Small Group Bible Studies – Small group Bible Studies are coordinated throughout the year. Please, Contact Pastor Nathan @ for more details on joining a small group.
	The Gatherings – Jesus said in Luke 19:46, “My house will be a house of prayer.” Join us at WCBC on Tuesday Nights @ 5:30 p.m. for a pot luck dinner followed by 6:30 prayer time.
	Ladies Bible Study – Women’s Bible Studies meet throughout the year. Please contact the church office for topics and times.
	Hands and Feet Ministry — This group gets together to meet practical needs in the community, you might find them making a meal, cleaning a house, or heading out anywhere to help a person or meet a need.
	Ministry Team – The ministry team includes older teens and adults who like to sing or play an instrument or are techincal and would like to run the sound booth. The musical members meet once a week on Wednesday nights to practice music for the Sunday worship service.   Please, Contact Pastor Nathan for more details about participating in this ministry.
	Special Music – Do you love to sing or play an instrument? You can bless others with special music. Contact Robin Jameson for more details.
	Walnut Manor Service – On a given Sunday each month WCBC participates in bringing a service to Walnut Manor Nursing home. Children and Adults are welcome to participate. Contact Pastor Eldon for details.
	Softball – During the summer months, the church participates in the local softball league in the Walnut Park District. The focus is on fun and ministry more than perfecting the game.  Come out and play or cheer us on from the stands.
	Young Adults – Sunday evenings the young adults/college age gather at WCBC @ 7pm just to hang out and play games and socialize. To encourage our college students away from home care packages are organized and sent each year.
	Church Picnic– During the summer the church body meets at Walnut’s park shelter for an outdoor service followed by a church wide picnic and the traditional bags tournament.
	Mission Trips– During the year there is sure to be a missions trip announced in a Sunday service. Please check the Events Pages to see if a current trip is planned. If a member has a mission field on his/her heart, please ask to see how the church can help.
